No Land, No Food! Even though the MDG deadline is close 800 million people suffer from hunger each and every day. According to the United Nations a main cause of hunger and malnutrition is the lack of access to land. Now, the UN-member states will commit to new, so called Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Target 2 promises to eradicate hunger through “secure and equal access to land” – among others. This leaves a lot of space for interpretation.
